Filament Winding

Filament winding is a fabrication technique mainly used for manufacturing open structures (i.e. cylinders) or closed end structures (i.e. pressure vessels or tanks). This process involves winding filaments in 2-directions under tension over a rotating mandrel. Filament wound structures have very high strength.
